About Rise Athletics Rise Athletics is a multi-disciplinary training facility focused on helping people move better, get stronger, and perform at their highest level. Our programs serve a wide range of populations, including general fitness members, competitive athletes, and strength sport athletes. Our offerings include Sports Performance, Small Group Training Classes, Olympic Weightlifting, and Personal Training, all delivered in a professional, high-standard coaching environment. We're seeking a Sports Performance Program Director who is technically sound, energetic, and passionate about helping athletes reach their potential. Role Overview The Sports Performance Program Director is a leadership role responsible for the quality, consistency, and growth of Rise Athletics' Sports Performance program. This is a hybrid leadership and coaching role . You are both a lead performance coach on the floor and the primary owner of the Sports Performance system. You are responsible for athlete development, coaching quality, program structure, and day-to-day execution across speed, strength, and sport-specific performance offerings. This role goes beyond coaching sessions. You are expected to build and maintain a cohesive performance pathway for athletes through intentional programming, testing, camps, clinics, and communication with athletes, parents, and teams. This role is ideal for a coach who wants to take ownership of athlete outcomes, performance systems, and long-term program development . Core ResponsibilitiesCoaching & On-Floor Leadership Lead high-quality Sports Performance training sessions, including: Strength and conditioning Speed, quickness, and agility Rotational power Sport-specific sessions (e.g. baseball, football) Set the standard for technical coaching, safety, and professionalism on the floor Be present during key training blocks to lead from the front Ensure training sessions are organized, progressive, and age-appropriate Program Ownership & Performance Systems Design, implement, and manage the Sports Performance training system in alignment with Rise philosophy Develop clear long-term athlete development pathways across age groups and sports Oversee programming structure, progressions, and seasonal emphasis Track athlete performance data, attendance, and progression Implement feedback loops to continually refine training quality and outcomes Coach Leadership & Development Mentor, support, and develop Sports Performance coaches Assist with onboarding new performance coaches into Rise systems and standards Provide ongoing coaching feedback, education, and accountability Serve as the primary point of contact for Sports Performance coaching staff Athlete, Parent & Team Communication Build strong, professional relationships with athletes and families Communicate expectations, progress, and program structure clearly to parents Support coordination with local teams, schools, and organizations when applicable Represent Rise Athletics professionally in the broader sports community Camps, Combines & Program Development Develop and oversee performance camps , seasonal intensives, and training blocks Plan and run combine-style testing days and assessment sessions Maintain a Sports Performance calendar including camps, testing days, and specialty offerings Encourage appropriate competitive exposure and development opportunities for athletes Identify opportunities to expand programming without compromising quality Specialty Clinics & Innovation Develop and lead sport-specific clinics and skill workshops (e.g. speed mechanics, rotational power for baseball, deceleration and change of direction) Create short-term specialty programs that enhance athlete development Collaborate with other Program Directors to align performance offerings with Rise standards Innovate responsibly while maintaining consistency and structure Brand Presence & Communication Support the visibility and growth of the Sports Performance program by: Contributing to Sports Performance-related social media content as requested Promoting camps, combines, clinics, and key training initiatives Coordinate with the Brand & Marketing team to ensure messaging aligns with Rise Athletics' voice (

Administrative & Operational Support Handle day-to-day administrative needs related to the Sports Performance program Assist with scheduling, coach coverage, and program logistics Track key performance and participation metrics using internal systems Communicate regularly with the Head Coach, Client Success, and Admin teams Role Scope & Authority This role owns the Sports Performance program , including athlete development systems, coaching quality, and day-to-day execution. Final decisions related to pricing, high-level business strategy, and major operational changes remain with the Head Coach and Ownership. You are expected to operate with autonomy within your program , while remaining aligned with Rise's broader vision and standards. QualificationsRequired CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) Minimum 2+ years coaching athletes in a sports performance setting Proven ability to coach speed, acceleration, deceleration, and change of direction Strong understanding of strength training principles and basic periodization Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and emotional intelligence Alignment with Rise values and athlete-first coaching philosophy Preferred Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field Experience coaching youth, high school, or collegiate athletes Background in sports such as baseball, football, track & field, or basketball Additional certifications (USATF, USAW, NASM PES, etc.) Experience working in a private performance facility What Success Looks Like Clear, structured athlete development pathways Coaches who are aligned, supported, and technically consistent Athletes who demonstrate measurable progress and high retention Strong parent trust and community reputation A well-run calendar of camps, combines, and specialty programs A program that runs smoothly without constant owner intervention Growth Opportunity This role is a key leadership position within Rise Athletics.
