Sports Coach - Afterschool Enrichment (URGENT HIRE) Little Swans Sports Winter Park, FL Job Details Part-time $22 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork Active listening Interpersonal skills First Aid Certification Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Job Summary LittleSwans Sports is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and reliable Assistant Sports Coach to support our Lead Coaches in delivering fun, engaging sports and movement sessions for children aged 2-9 years . You'll help create a safe, positive environment where children can build confidence, coordination, balance, listening skills, and a love of being active through play. This is a great role for someone who loves working with young children, enjoys being active, and is patient, positive, and playful . Duties Assist the Lead Coach with fun, age-appropriate sports and movement sessions. Support activities including soccer, basketball, non-contact rugby, dodgeball, volleyball, and team games . Help children develop fundamental skills such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, kicking, and balancing. Demonstrate activities and actively participate in games. Encourage children to join in, try new activities, and build confidence. Support positive behaviors including sharing, taking turns, listening, teamwork, and kindness . Help with group management, equipment setup, and pack-away. Build positive relationships with children, preschool staff, and parents. Follow all safeguarding, child protection, and safety policies. Requirements Experience working with preschool-aged children (2-5) preferred. Previous coaching, teaching, childcare, recreation, or early childhood experience is a plus. Genuine passion for working with young children. Energetic, patient, encouraging, and comfortable getting involved in active play. Confident supporting groups of young children under the direction of a Lead Coach. Reliable, punctual, and well-organized. Able to travel between multiple school and preschool locations . Must possess or be willing to obtain a current background check. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Schedule & Location Sessions take place at multiple school and preschool locations . Approximately 1-2 hours per session . 6-10 hours per week . Reliable transportation is required.
