Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic youth sports program as a 10U Softball Coach, where you will inspire young athletes to develop their skills, foster teamwork, and promote a love for the game. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead energetic, fun-filled practices and games while emphasizing sportsmanship, safety, and personal growth. Your passion for coaching and dedication to nurturing children's athletic potential will help shape positive experiences that last a lifetime. Duties Plan and execute engaging softball practices tailored to 10U players, focusing on fundamental skills such as hitting, fielding, pitching, and base running Lead team during games, providing clear instructions and motivating players to perform their best while maintaining a fun and supportive environment Teach sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive behavior management strategies to young athletes Monitor player safety during practices and games, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper equipment use Foster a love for softball by encouraging participation in drills, competitions, and team-building activities Collaborate with assistant coaches and program coordinators to organize schedules, tournaments, and special events Requirements Strong background in softball preferred experience with 10U age group is highly desirable Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds while maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism Excellent communication skills for engaging with players, parents, and team staff Must be available for in person practice 2-3 days a week and 2-3 tournaments a month.
