Immediately Job Description Atlantic HS has an opening for Head Boys Golf Coach. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach golf fundamentals, support student-athletes during practices and matches, promote sportansmanship and teamwork, and help create a positive and safe team environment.Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and oversee the boys golf program.
- Team the fundamentals, rules, etiquette, course management and competitive strategy for the game of golf.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, travel and other team activities.
- Work with the Activities Director on scheduling, transportation, rosters, equipment and other team needs.
- Follow all school, conference and IHSAA rules and expectations.
- Communicate clearly with players, parents, adminstration and media.
- Promote the sport of golf in the school and community.
- Represent Atlantic HS in a professional and appropriate manner.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the rules, etiqueete and instruction of the sport of golf, including those set forth by the IHSAA.
- Prior coaching experience preferred.
- Ability to create positive relationships with the student-athletes.
- Complettion of all required certification for coaching in the State of Iowa.
