Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Boys Feeder Basketball Coach (Grades 3-8) and ignite young athletes' passion for basketball! In this energetic role, you will lead and inspire children through engaging basketball training sessions, fostering skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Your enthusiasm and coaching expertise will help cultivate a love for the game while ensuring a safe, fun, and motivating environment for all participants. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on youth sports and promote healthy activity among children. Duties Plan and deliver age-appropriate basketball drills, games, and skill-building activities tailored to various skill levels Lead warm-up exercises, stretching routines, and safety checks before each session to prevent injuries Provide clear instructions on basketball techniques, rules, and sportsmanship principles to young players Monitor participant behavior, manage group dynamics, and implement effective behavior management strategies Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding player progress and session updates Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including AED operation and first aid/CPR readiness Foster a positive team environment that encourages teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment of the sport
