Job Description
Job Description Pratt Community College, an NJCAA two-year public college in Pratt, Kansas, invites applications for the position of Assistant Volleyball Coach/Possible Lateral Position. Reporting to the Head Volleyball Coach and the Director of Athletics, the successful candidate will assist with the development of student athletes both in the classroom and on the court. Additionally, the candidate will assist with the personal development of student-athletes in a manner that reflects PCC's commitment to competitiveness and ethical behavior. This position is responsible for helping with the development, organization, supervision, and management of the volleyball team. This is a full-time (12-month) position with excellent benefits.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Driver's license required. Proven successful coaching experience. Experience in recruiting successful student athletes. Experience and skills in training or instructing student athletes. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to analyze situations and develop solutions. Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours. Ability to foster positive internal and external public relations. Be able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds to help setup volleyball net and other items for practice/games. Assisting with camps during the summer and other fundraising initiatives (both for the program and athletic department) Preference will be given to candidates with: Master's degree preferred. Experience coaching at the collegiate level. Knowledge and demonstrated experience with NJCAA and conference rules and regulations. Coaches must have and maintain a valid driver's license and meet PCC's driving standards. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
