None Position Summary Pioneer Charter School of Science (PCSS) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Varsity Girls Basketball Assistant Coach to lead our student-athletes for the upcoming season. We are looking for someone who is passionate about player development, culture building, and creating a sustainable girls basketball program. More than simply filling a coaching position, we want to bring in someone who will invest in our student- athletes and help establish a strong foundation that can grow for years to come. Key Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and player development
• Experience working with high school or youth athletes, preferably girls basketball
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with student-athletes while maintaining accountability and professionalism
• Willingness to help develop players at all levels and support a strong transitioning system from grade to grade
• Positive, energetic, dependable, and committed to being present for practices, games, and program events
• Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with the Head Coach, Athletic Department, families, and school community
• Commitment to academic achievement, character development, leadership, and teamwork
• Willingness to assist with offseason workouts, open gyms, camps/clinics, fundraising, community engagement, and other program-building initiatives
• A growth mindset and willingness to continuously learn and develop as a coach

• Ability to connect positively with high school students
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to create a safe, motivating, and respectful team culture
• Commitment to student growth both on and off the court Preferred Experience
• Prior coaching and/or competitive basketball experience
• Experience working with high school-aged students or youth in an athletic setting Special Requirements
• Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain prior to the season's start)
