Performance Coach / Personal Trainer MetFit Natick Natick, MA Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $17 - $50 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Gym membership Flexible schedule Qualifications Certified Personal Trainer Customer communication Customer relationship building Client rapport building Fitness sales Full Job Description MetFit is looking for a Performance Coach / Personal Trainer to join our coaching team. This role is designed for a trainer who wants to build a strong personal training business inside a serious strength-training environment. Coaches will train clients, conduct evaluations, develop programs, build relationships with members, and actively grow their client base. The position also includes scheduled front desk shifts. These shifts provide consistent paid hours while new coaches establish themselves in the gym, meet members, generate training opportunities, and build their personal training schedule. Personal Training & Coaching Responsibilities include: Delivering high-quality one-on-one personal training Conducting evaluations and consultations Designing individualized training programs Coaching proper exercise technique and safe training practices Tracking client progress and managing follow-up Building strong long-term client relationships Proactively developing and maintaining a personal training client base Representing MetFit's coaching standards and training culture There may also be opportunities to assist with semi-private, specialty, or group training. Front Desk & Member Development Scheduled front desk shifts are part of the position, particularly while coaches are building their personal training book.
Responsibilities may include:
Greeting and checking in members Building relationships with current members Answering basic membership and facility questions Giving facility tours Assisting with membership sign-ups Scheduling evaluations and consultations Following up with personal training leads Identifying members who may benefit from coaching Supporting basic day-to-day gym operations These shifts are intended to give coaches consistent hours while also creating opportunities to meet members and grow their personal training business. Compensation $40-$50 per completed personal training session, based on experience and qualifications $17/hour for scheduled front desk shifts, evaluations, and approved non-service work As your client base grows, a larger portion of your schedule can shift toward higher-paying coaching hours. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Holds a nationally recognized personal training certification Has a strong understanding of strength training and exercise technique Coaches safely and confidently Communicates well with clients and members Is reliable, professional, and organized Takes ownership of programming, scheduling, and follow-up Is proactive about building relationships and developing a client base Is comfortable discussing personal training with members Wants to grow as a coach and become part of the MetFit community Experience with powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman, athletic performance, or strength & conditioning is a plus. Schedule & Growth This is a part-time position to start with the ability to grow. Morning, evening, and weekend availability is valuable. The long-term opportunity is to build a substantial personal training book and grow into a larger coaching role within MetFit.
