Position:
Freshman Boys Basketball Coach
Position Summary:
The coach will provide leadership that promotes student-athlete development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success while ensuring compliance with district policies and all applicable rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
Successful coaching experience at the high school level or playing experience preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members.
Job Responsibilities:
Instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategies, and rules of the sport. Develop and communicate clear and specific goals for the team and individual players. Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and character among student-athletes. Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team-related activities. Support student academic expectations, responsibilities, and achievements. Organize team meetings, equipment inventory, and program needs. Represent the school and community in a professional and positive manner. Coordinate with the Varsity coach. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Building Principal.
Compensation:
4% on Step 1 of the BA Salary Schedule.
