Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Swartz Creek Community Schools - 4.0 Swartz Creek, MI Job Details Part-time 12 hours ago Qualifications Working with athletes Team supervision Team motivation (leadership skill) Full Job Description Varsity Head Coach Swartz Creek High School is seeking a passionate and visionary Varsity Basketball Head Coach to lead and develop a competitive, inclusive program aligned with the district's core values. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities, with a dedication to athletic excellence, academic success, and the holistic development of student-athletes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven organizational skills and basketball knowledge suitable for leading a high school varsity program Ability to motivate and work effectively with student-athletes and adults Availability for all team-related commitments, including practices, games, travel, and events Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain Previous high school coaching experience preferred
MHSAA CAP
1 or 2 certification preferred
Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of the varsity basketball program, including player development, practice planning, and equipment management Supervise student-athletes during all team functions Ensure compliance with school, district, league, and MHSAA policies Foster a safe, respectful, and team-oriented environment emphasizing sportsmanship and discipline Communicate effectively with players, families, officials, coaches, administrators, and community stakeholders Collaborate with the Athletic Director and school staff, responding to guidance in a timely and professional manner Serve as a role model through conduct, language, and behavior, upholding the values of Swartz Creek High School
