Job Description:
Southern Boone High School is seeking a motivated and dedicated Assistant Boys Soccer Coach to support the head coach in all aspects of the boys soccer program. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field and is committed to fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities:
Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and game strategies Provide instruction on fundamental soccer skills and techniques Support player development, conditioning, and performance improvement Help supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive team culture Assist with game-day responsibilities, including setup, communication, and sideline support Ensure compliance with school, district, and MSHSAA policies and guidelines
Qualifications:
Prior soccer playing or coaching experience preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach, staff, and students Commitment to student-athlete development, academics, and safety Availability for practices and games throughout the season
Preferred:
Previous coaching experience at the high school or youth level CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Knowledge of MSHSAA rules and regulations
