NOTE:
This position is for the 2023-2024 school year. The salary will be based on the 2022-2023 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year's salary schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with students, parents, supervisor and fellow workers
TERM OF EMPLOYMENTS
6 hours/day; 188 days/year
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops transportation behavior plans working collaboratively with administrators, teachers & parents 2. De-escalates and redirects students with encouragement and reinforcement of appropriate behavior and safe riding expectations. 3. Adapts to changes and behaviors to meet the student's needs. 4. Interacts positively with students and models appropriate behavior 5. Serves as mentor to transporation staff in student management practices. 6. Works collaboratively with the Transportation Director and Trainer in planning an executing The Peacful Bus Program 7. Assist students on and off buses, including moving wheelchairs and other devices as required. 8. Monitor student behavior while on buses to ensure appropriate conduct. 9. Escort students across the street, as needed. 10. Assist driver in an emergency or evacuation. 11. Check bus before and after each route for students and articles. 12. Know the route and give assistance when asked. 13. Be aware of the medical needs of students.
