Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic High School sports program as an Women's Assistant Flag Football Coach! This energetic role is perfect for passionate individuals who love working with children, fostering teamwork, and promoting healthy, active lifestyles. As an integral part of our coaching team, you will support lead coaches in delivering engaging, safe, and instructional flag football experiences that inspire young athletes to develop their skills and confidence. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain sports coaching experience while making a positive impact on youth development. Duties Assist in planning and executing engaging flag football practices and games tailored to various age groups and skill levels Support lead coaches in teaching fundamental football techniques, rules, and sportsmanship principles Supervise children during activities, ensuring safety and proper behavior management at all times Help set up equipment, organize drills, and maintain a clean and safe playing environment Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and fellow staff to ensure a positive experience for all involved Monitor players' progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement and confidence Support emergency procedures by being trained in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and health club safety protocols Skills Prior experience working with children in sports or educational settings is highly desirable Knowledge of flag football rules and basic gameplay techniques Background in sports-specific training instruction such as soccer coaching, basketball, or martial arts like karate or judo is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide young athletes through team activities Experience teaching physical education or working in health clubs or gym environments is beneficial Familiarity with behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and inclusive environment Certifications such as first aid, CPR, AED operation, or sports coaching credentials are preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to develop their coaching skills while contributing positively to youth sports programs. Must be able to commit to the times for all practices and Games Practices from 330pm to 6pm Games could be from 5pm to 9pm or later Stipend pay $1000 (paid after the season is over)Pay:
