Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join SafeStroke. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming and aquatic safety. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating individuals of all ages on swimming techniques, water safety, and building confidence in the water. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working in a health club or gym environment and have experience in sports coaching or childcare. Duties Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups of varying skill levels, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. Educate students on water safety practices and the importance of swimming skills. Develop lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student, incorporating various techniques to enhance learning. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to promote swim programs and events within the facility. Engage with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Qualifications Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and aquatic safety practices. Background in sports coaching or childcare is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate effectively, especially with young kids. Ability to work well with children and adults alike, fostering a supportive learning environment. Certification in CPR, First Aid, or Lifeguarding is highly desirable. Must be comfortable working in a health club or gym setting.
