Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our aquatic education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in swimming, coaching, or teaching physical activities, and possess excellent communication skills. This role involves instructing individuals of various ages and skill levels in water safety, swimming techniques, and aquatic skills, fostering a positive and safe environment for all participants. Duties Conduct swimming lessons for children and adults, tailoring instruction to individual skill levels and learning styles. Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring water activity at all times. Develop lesson plans that incorporate water safety, stroke development, and fitness components. Manage behavior and maintain discipline to create a respectful and engaging learning environment. Assist with organizing aquatic programs, including group classes, private lessons, and special events. Provide feedback to students on their progress and suggest areas for improvement. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards around the pool area, including equipment upkeep. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of aquatic programs. Experience Prior lifeguard experience is highly desirable, with certification preferred. Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education is advantageous. Experience working with children or students in a classroom or recreational setting is preferred. Knowledge of martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or Cheerleading is a plus. Familiarity with swimming techniques, martial arts, climbing activities, or health club environments enhances suitability for this role. Proven ability in behavior management and creating engaging lesson plans for diverse age groups. Previous experience in childcare or working with youth is beneficial.
