Swim Instructor Goldfish Swim School - New Rochelle 14 Weyman Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10805 Goldfish Swim School - New Rochelle is looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and patient Swim Instructors to teach children ages 4 months to 12 years old how to swim and become safer in and around the water. No prior swim instruction experience is required. We provide paid, hands-on training and a structured curriculum so you can learn how to successfully teach our students. What You'll Do Teach 30-minute swim lessons using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum Follow a pre-designed lesson plan while adapting instruction to each child's needs Create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for students Communicate professionally with parents and provide feedback on student progress Maintain a clean and organized pool and teaching area Follow all safety procedures and attend required training and workshops Training New instructors complete several hours of required training videos followed by 40 hours of one-on-one, paid, in-water training with an experienced trainer before teaching independently. You will receive ongoing coaching and feedback as you develop your skills.

The Environment Pool temperature:

approximately 90°F Pool depth: approximately 4 feet Warm, humid pool deck environment Instructors should be comfortable spending extended periods of time in the water What We're Looking For Must be at least 15 years old Enjoys working with children Patient, energetic, dependable, and willing to learn Comfortable receiving coaching and feedback Able to work in a warm and humid environment Prior experience with children, coaching, childcare, or youth programs is a plus, but not required Certifications & Growth Lifeguard certification is not required to apply . Goldfish offers opportunities for employees to obtain additional certifications, including lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid.
