ROLE OVERVIEW
Senior / Head Coaches are responsible for owning the success of a Travel Team (or Teams) and serving as key leaders within the New York Empire Baseball coaching organization. In addition to coaching and player development, Senior/Head Coaches set the standards for preparation, performance, and culture, and play a critical role in developing other coaches. Our Coaches have the most important responsibilities in our Organization- to inform, instruct, inspire, prepare, train, and motivate our young ballplayers on
- and off-the-field and in our world class high-tech indoor facility, The Hub.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as Head Coach for one or more Travel Teams, owning player development, team performance, and culture.
- Deliver high-quality instruction that aligns with New York Empire Baseball's methods, models, and developmental philosophy, and supports long-term athletic development.
- Prepare for and execute assigned sessions, practices, and programs with discipline, organization, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively with Assistant Coaches and other New York Empire Baseball coaches and Player Development Staff during team practices and programming.
- Set expectations for preparation, effort, behavior, and accountability amongst all staff and players.
- Contribute to training content execution and reinforcement across programs.
- Support the development of Assistant and Lead Coaches through feedback, modeling, and guidance.
- Communicate proactively with families regarding player and team expectations, development, and program structure.
- Represent New York Empire Baseball's standards and values across all environments and interactions.
- Shepherd and steward New York Empire Baseball's culture and values
- evangelizing players, teams, and parents.
- Ensuring a collaborative and inclusive environment and relationships among players, teams, and parents.

- Desire to grow as a leader within the organization.
