Our 50-minute classes combine strength, conditioning, mobility, and hands-on coaching in a fun, welcoming environment. We opened in January 2026 and have quickly grown into a strong community of members who genuinely enjoy training together. We're looking for a Head Coach who wants to help us continue building that. The Role We're looking for a full-time Head Coach to lead the coaching side of OG. You'll coach regularly, develop our coaching staff, maintain a high standard across every class, and become one of the recognizable faces of our gym. We already have an established training system and a deep library of programming. This is not primarily a workout-writing position. Your job is to master the programming, understand its intent, know the regressions and progressions, and make sure every OG coach can deliver it at a high level.
Simply put:
coach great classes and make everyone around you a better coach. Coaching & Member Experience Expect to coach 16+ classes per week. OG classes are 50 minutes. You'll be responsible for: Leading high-energy, technically sound group training sessions Building genuine relationships with members Coaching movements, modifications, regressions, and progressions Creating a welcoming environment for beginners while challenging experienced members Maintaining OG standards for energy, class flow, professionalism, and member experience Being an active, recognizable presence in the gym We want someone who genuinely loves coaching and takes pride in making people's day better. Coach Development & Leadership A major part of this role is making our entire coaching team better. Onboard and train new coaches Make sure coaches understand each workout and how to coach it Observe at least one other coach's class each week and provide actionable feedback Spend additional time in the gym around other coaches and members Lead a monthly coaching in-service Conduct regular coach check-ins and quarterly reviews Develop coaches in cueing, presence, class management, exercise knowledge, and member interaction Help maintain consistent coaching standards across the schedule Programming & Training Standards Our programming system is already established. Your responsibility is making sure it is executed exceptionally well. Master the workouts and understand the purpose behind each training day Know appropriate regressions and progressions Make sure the coaching team understands programming intent Identify areas where coaches need additional education Maintain consistency regardless of who is coaching Provide input as the programming continues to evolve There may be opportunities to take greater ownership of programming over time, but creating workouts from scratch is not the primary focus of this role. Culture, Content & Community We want our Head Coach to be bought into OG beyond the classes they personally coach.
That includes:
Helping create a fun, energetic gym culture Being visible and engaged with our community Helping capture and contribute ideas for social media content Being comfortable appearing in photos and videos Helping organize challenges, outdoor workouts, member events, and community partnerships Representing OG at events when appropriate Social media/content experience is a major plus, but not required. What Success Looks Like Six months in: You love being part of OG and have strong relationships with our members Members know you, trust you, and love being coached by you You consistently run great classes that people look forward to attending Our coaching team is getting better because of your leadership New coaches can be confidently trained into the OG system Coaching quality is consistent across the schedule You've become a trusted leader within the gym The Owner and GM trust you to take ownership of the coaching side of OG What We're Looking For Strong group fitness or strength and conditioning coaching experience Great communication and presence in front of a room Strong understanding of strength training fundamentals Ability to coach and modify movements for different ability levels Genuine interest in developing other coaches High standards while still being approachable and fun to work with Reliable, organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership Someone who wants to help build something, not simply show up, coach, and leave Preferred, But Not Required CSCS, CPT, or comparable certification Strength and conditioning background Experience mentoring coaches Boutique/group fitness experience Social media/content experience Experience with member events or community initiatives Current CPR/AED certification is required or must be obtained upon hire. Schedule & Compensation $42,500 annual salary Full-time, approximately 35-40 hours per week . The schedule will likely include early mornings and Saturdays. Expect to coach at least 16 classes per week, with remaining time focused on coach development, member experience, meetings, content, events, and leadership responsibilities.
