About Us:

At My Gym Children's Fitness Center learning through play is the My Gym way. You'll be working with children ages 3 months to 10 years old, leading our engaging gymnastics-based classes, camps, and birthday parties! Our number one goal is to be a safe and welcoming place for kids to learn through play and many families stay enrolled for years because of that focus. We're looking for a full-time staff member who is interested in growing into a management role with us. Required shifts include, but are not limited to: Monday 11am-6pm, Wednesday 2-7pm, and Sundays.

General Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist classes, camps, and weekend birthday parties.
• Foster a fun and welcoming atmosphere for both the kids and their parents
• Prioritize the safety of children by using proper spotting techniques, as well as keep a strong overall eye throughout class
• In Parent & Me classes, offer guidance and support to the parents throughout class to help children reach their developmental milestones Qualifications
• Gymnastics, dance, or similar background is a must for this position since you'll be teaching our popular Wednesday evening Beginning Gymnastics class for ages 5-9 year olds.
• Must be ready to be silly because we're often singing and dancing throughout all Parent & Me classes.
• Able to quickly memorize each weeks' curriculum componants which may consist of: a cappella puppet shows, class announcements, and songs and dances that are part of circle time.
• Strong team player with a dedicated work ethic who enjoys working with a team of like-minded individuals.
• Excellent communication skills are a must, as open communication is the key to a cohesive team.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift equipment and spot children up to 50 pounds daily.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods. This is a very active job! Most shifts are 6-8 hours and we're almost always moving the entire time except while on breaks.
• Able to effectively multitask - you'll often be helping lead a portion of class while also maintaining a safe space and thinking 2 steps ahead to keep class running smoothly.

Pay:

$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 36.0 per week Application Question(s): Tell us about your experience with gymnastics, dance, or other similar activities.
