Job Description

Position Overview Notre Dame Green Pond, a Catholic high school in Easton, Pennsylvania, within the Diocese of Allentown, is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and student-centered individual to serve as the Head Boys Wrestling Coach. The successful candidate will provide leadership for all aspects of the boys wrestling program while fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, discipline, and sportsmanship. The Head Coach will be committed to developing student-athletes academically, athletically, spiritually, and personally in alignment with the mission and values of Notre Dame High School. Responsibilities Provide leadership, organization, and oversight for all aspects of the Boys Wrestling Program. Develop a positive, competitive, and values-driven program that emphasizes character, accountability, and teamwork. Plan and conduct effective practices, competitions, and year-round skill development opportunities. Promote the academic success, personal growth, and leadership development of student-athletes. Foster sportsmanship and represent Notre Dame High School with professionalism and integrity. Recruit, mentor, and collaborate with assistant and junior high coaching staffs to ensure program continuity and long-term success. Coordinate offseason training, strength and conditioning opportunities, camps, clinics, and youth program engagement. Build positive relationships and maintain effective communication with student-athletes, parents, faculty, administration, alumni, and the wrestling community. Ensure compliance with all Notre Dame High School, Colonial League, District XI, PIAA, and Diocese of Allentown policies and regulations. Assist with program fundraising, equipment management, scheduling, and budget oversight. Promote the wrestling program through community outreach and support initiatives that increase participation and program visibility. Serve as a positive role model who reflects the mission and values of Notre Dame High School. Qualifications Previous successful wrestling coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, club or equivalent level preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of wrestling techniques, strategy, training, and athlete development. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, coaches, and school personnel. Commitment to developing student-athletes academically, athletically, spiritually, and personally. Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. Must satisfy all Diocese of Allentown, Notre Dame High School, and PIAA coaching requirements, including all required background clearances, certifications, and coaching education. Preferred Qualifications Previous head coaching or varsity-level coaching experience. Experience building and sustaining a successful wrestling program. Experience coordinating offseason training, camps, clinics, and youth wrestling initiatives. Knowledge of current wrestling techniques, sports performance principles, and athlete development. Experience mentoring student-athletes interested in competing at the collegiate level.
