CFS seeks an experienced, energetic, and organized head coach to lead our competitive and well-rounded interscholastic baseball program in accordance with PIAA regulations, District 1 and BAL policies, and education-based athletics principles. The coach will provide strong leadership and serve as a role model to our athletes, promoting academic achievement, appreciation for physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship; fostering character development; and ensuring a safe positive experience for all student athletes while building a sustainable year-round program. We are looking for a positive team player with demonstrated prior experience coaching a team, working with and mentoring young men, and who is committed to being a leader within the CFS community.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred 3 to 5 years of baseball coaching and/or playing experience at the high school and/or college levels Demonstrated knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, and safety protocols CPR, AED, and First Aid certification Demonstrated experience successfully leading groups of young men Willingness and flexibility to work a variety of days and hours across the season, including nights and weekends Commitment to student athlete development year round Familiarity with NCAA eligibility guidelines and the college recruitment process Current valid driver's license and willingness to drive nine-seat passenger vans Effective written and verbal communication skillsThe Varsity Baseball Head Coach Must:
Plan, organize, and direct the CFS baseball program with enthusiasm and maturity. Lead with integrity, holding assistant coaches and team staff as well as athletes to appropriate standards while fostering a love of sport, passion to excel, and good sportsmanship. Be available for weekday afternoon practices (typically 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM) and games. Create and implement off-season and pre-season player development. Demonstrate a willingness to support the school's mission, entire program, and core values (respect, responsibility, integrity, and brotherhood) through personal example, actions, and attitude. Ensure that student athletes adhere to eligibility rules, grade requirements, and rules of behavior. Assure program compliance with the CFS student/parent handbook, policies of the Bicentennial Athletic League, and rules and regulations of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA). Attend mandatory PIAA rules interpretation meetings yearly. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and members of the CFS community. Promote self-discipline and responsible decision-making among the students. Ensure the continual supervision of student athletes during practice, workouts, and in the locker room.CLEARANCES
