Lancaster Catholic High School seeks a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as the Junior Varsity (JV) Girls Volleyball Coach. This individual will play a key role in developing the skills, character, and sportsmanship of JV student-athletes. Working under the direction of the Varsity Head Coach, the JV Girls Volleyball Coach is responsible for fostering a positive team environment, implementing practice plans, and guiding athletes in their personal and athletic growth.REPORTING FUNCTION
Reports to thePrincipal & Athletic Director Key Responsibilities:
Coaching and Development:
Develop and implement practice plans aligned with the philosophy and strategy set forth by the Varsity Head Coach. Teach fundamental volleyball skills, techniques, and game strategies to improve player performance. Motivate and mentor student-athletes to build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.Collaboration:
Work closely with the Varsity Head Coach to ensure alignment between JV and varsity programs. Communicate effectively with athletic staff and administration regarding team needs and progress.Game Management:
Plan and execute game strategies, including lineups and in-game adjustments. Oversee team conduct during games and ensure adherence to sportsmanship and school values. Analyze game performance and provide constructive feedback to players.Administrative Duties:
Communicate with parents and student-athletes regarding schedules, expectations, and team updates. Assist with equipment management and uniform distribution. Attend coaches' meetings and complete required training and certifications.Qualifications:
Previous volleyball coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level. Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, strategies, and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes in a positive and faith-centered manner. Commitment to upholding the values and mission of Lancaster Catholic High School. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Working Conditions:
Seasonal position requiring evening and weekend availability for practices and games. Ability to work indoors in a gymnasium setting. Flexible hours based on practice and game schedules.Application Process:
