Job Description
Pottsgrove Athletics is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and high-energy Head Varsity Swimming Coach to lead our program. The Head Coach will be responsible for leading all aspects of the our swimming program, including varsity team management, player development, staff supervision, and fostering a competitive, sportsmanship-driven environment aligned with Pottsgrove's athletic values.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the varsity swimming program, including practice planning, game strategy, and event selection.
Maintain strict adherence to all rules, policies, and guidelines established by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) and the Pioneer Athletic Conference (PAC).
Foster student-athlete academic success, sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership on and off the court.
Coordinate with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, facility use, transportation, and equipment inventory.
Supervise coaching staff to ensure alignment across the entire 9-12 program pipeline.
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience coaching interscholastic swimming at the high school level or above.
Required:
Comprehensive understanding of PIAA rules, eligibility criteria, and Pioneer Athletic Conference guidelines.
Preferred:
Prior experience as a Head Coach at the interscholastic high school level.
