We are looking for an Assistant Director who has experience working with kids and is passionate about seeing youth sports as a tool to impact kids' lives in the Denver Metro area. For Spring 2027, this position will run from January 1-May 31 for our after-school basketball programs. During the Fall 2027 semester, we will have another round of programs from August 1-November 30. Over the long term, there is potential to set up holiday camps in between our semester programs.

Hours:

Every week is a little different, but the average number of hours worked will be around 15 hours per week.

Grades:

Coed Kinder-5th for the after-school programs.

Locations:

Most of our programs take place at Jeffco public elementary schools, ranging from Littleton to Lakewood to Arvada. We may also expand to other nearby districts.

Pay:

$22/hour There will be a paid training that will help to onboard the new staff. Job Qualifications Maintain an organized work calendar with set reminders to remember to accomplish important tasks. Conduct interviews via Zoom with potential coaching candidates. The applicant must be organized and responsible. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with school administrators, parents, and coaches. Have daily access to a laptop or computer in order to send emails to parents and administrators. Be available to substitute coach in the event that an instructor cannot coach, e.g. that instructor gave last-minute notice that he/she would not be able to coach on that particular day and the Assistant Director would need to fill in and coach at that site. Be available to communicate with parents and coaches around 8am-2pm, and be on-call with coaches and admin regularly between 2pm-4:30pm. Deliver marketing flyers 1-2 times per semester to every partner school. Deliver basketball equipment to coaches at our elementary sites. Conduct observations of coaches 1-2 times per week. Every morning at 8am, send group text reminders/responsibilities to coaches at each elementary site. Find substitute coaches for any instructors who cannot attend their given site on a particular day. Deliver rosters for each school on the first day of the programs.

United Ballers Youth Sports provides high-quality basketball, track, and soccer lessons and camps for kids ages 4-14. Our coaches have several decades' worth of playing and coaching experience. Applicant needs to be energetic in working with both beginners and those with some experience.
