Job Description

Overview Sara's Swim School is a private swim lesson business built on our "Learn Your Way" method — every lesson is tailored to meet each student exactly where they are, not a one-size-fits-all script. We're expanding into the South Florida area and looking for a passionate, experienced swim instructor to join us as an independent contractor. This is flexible, freelance work — you control your own schedule and choose the clients and packages that fit you. (Having your own pool is a huge plus!) Responsibilities Plan and deliver private, one-on-one swim lessons tailored to each student's age, comfort level, and goals. Teach at the client's pool, your own pool, or a pool nearby — no commuting to a fixed facility. Have the ability to create your own hours on your own schedule Communicate clearly with parents/caregivers about progress and lesson goals. Maintain a safe environment throughout each lesson, following water safety best practices at all times. Log completed lessons through our simple online tracking system. Build genuine rapport and confidence with students of all ages and comfort levels, from first-time swimmers to more advanced students. Experience Prior experience as a swim instructor or swim coach, with strong personal swimming and water safety fundamentals is required. Current or attainable certification in CPR, and first aid required. Comfortable working independently and traveling to different pool locations in the South Florida area. Strong communication skills with both children and parents/caregivers. Patient, encouraging teaching style suited to a range of ages and comfort levels in the water. Reliable transportation and flexible availability.
