Assistant Coach II-Men's Baseball (Part Time)

Summary

Works with the head coach in the supervision and development of an intercollegiate varsity team, including in-season programming, in accordance with institutional and departmental objectives within the rules and regulations of the athletic governing bodies

Essential Job Functions

Attends and assists with practices and scheduled contests as assigned to provide a positive and competitive experience for student athletes

Assists with recruitment trips as assigned to recruit student athletes to develop a successful, competitive athletic program

Assists with the supervision of the team at off campus competitions as needed abiding by the rules and regulations of the team, the department, and the university

May represent the university and team at appropriate athletic events (e.g. competitions, conferences and university sanctioned programs)

Assists with the fundraising activities as needed to provide funds for team expenses (e.g. traveling and team apparel)

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Minimum of an associate's degree or a combination of education/certification(s) and/or experience suitable for the position

Moderate amount of experience with athletic coaching, collegial playing or other related experience

Valid U.S. driver's license

First Aid, CPR, AED certification, or willingness to attain such certification(s) upon hire

Qualified candidates must live or relocate to live within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
