Swim Instructor
Job Description
Job description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in aquatic activities. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating individuals of all ages on swimming techniques, water safety. Your ability to engage with students and create a positive learning environment will be key to their success. Responsibilities Teach group swim lessons. (Ages 6 months - 18 years) Teach adult private lessons. (18 +). Can follow lesson plans and aquatic protocols. Has good social and time management skills. Responsible. Positive Attitude. Patient. Passionate about teaching youth and adults swimming skills and water safety. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the swim area before, during, and after lessons. Collaborate with other instructors to create a supportive team environment. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Keep Aquatics Coordinator up to date on all relevant issues and situations pertaining to lessons. Requirements Previous experience as a swim instructor or swim team coach is preferred. Certification in lifeguarding or water safety instruction is highly desirable. Background in swimming is preferred. Ability to be consistent and commitment to teaching each swim session. Must be physically fit and capable of performing swimming-related tasks effectively.
