Sumter High School Position Summary Sumter High School is seeking a motivated and student-centered Head Girls Basketball Coach to lead and develop a competitive program that emphasizes academic success, character development, and athletic excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the girls basketball program (varsity and sub-varsity). Plan and conduct practices, implement game strategies, and support year-round development. Monitor academic progress and ensure eligibility compliance. Maintain compliance with district and South Carolina High School League regulations. Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration. Supervise student-athletes at all events and coordinate team travel. Qualifications Previous basketball coaching experience preferred. Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and program development. Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Commitment to student-athlete academic and character development. Willingness to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to transport student-athletes as needed.
