Job Description
Hello, RE:
In‑Home Caregiver & Skill‑Building Coach Our 18‑year‑old daughter suffered a traumatic brain injury in March 2022 after an accidental fall. She received acute rehabilitation beginning in May 2022 and returned home with us in November 2022. We live on a farm on the edge of Yankton (just off E. Hwy 50), where she rejoined her seven siblings and both parents. At home, we implement daily skill‑building interventions and modalities as part of her care plan. We have a ceiling lift for all transfers. She is currently non‑verbal, pump (g‑tube) fed, and wheelchair‑bound, but continues to make meaningful gains in her daily living skills. We remain hopeful and committed to supporting her recovery. As her parents, we want to continue giving her every opportunity by expanding her caregiver team. We are seeking a caring, diligent, rehab‑minded individual to work with and care for our daughter. Dependability is a core expectation. We are looking for someone who can provide optimistic support, personalized care, and high‑accountability — someone who consistently goes beyond minimum effort to help her regain independent daily living skills. Caregivers do not need to be licensed, certified, insured, or affiliated with any clinic or facility. Thorough training will be provided. A background check is required.
