Travel Baseball Coach

Organization Summary Midland Baseball of TN is a premier 7U-17U travel baseball organization that strives for excellence both on and off the field. We offer high caliber instruction, with access to local practice fields and our own indoor training facility. We pride ourselves on player development and provide unparalleled support to our coaches. We prepare our athletes for competition, as well as life, and enrich the lives of our youth and communities through the game of baseball. Position Summary We are seeking experienced and dedicated Travel Baseball Coaches to lead a youth baseball team in age divisions ranging from 13-17U. This role offers an exciting opportunity to stay in the game and coach with a one of Middle TN's highest respected travel baseball programs. Moreover, you get to teach and inspire young athletes, develop their skills, and foster a love for the game. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for coaching baseball, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating a positive, engaging environment for players and families. As a Coach in our program, you will have the ability to assemble a strong team of players, plan and facilitate engaging practices (fields and indoor facility secured), build a competitive tournament schedule, and help instill the confidence it takes to play the game. Responsibilities Attend Midland TN tryouts to assess talent and build a competitive roster. Plan and execute engaging practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Lead the team throughout the season (Aug 1 - Jul 31), providing sound guidance and motivation. As a Head Coach, working with a complimentary Assistant Coach(es). Foster a positive environment that encourages growth, confidence, and a love of the game. Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual improvement. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during practices and games. Communicate effectively with players, parents, organization, and league officials regarding schedules, progress, and team updates. Experience Prior experience playing, coaching and/or teaching the game of baseball, travel baseball experience preferred. Strong knowledge of the game of baseball highly desired. Experience as an instructor and/or fitness trainer can enhance coaching versatility. Proven ability to manage players and families effectively while fostering teamwork and confidence in young athletes. Familiarity with various rules and regulations.
