Job Description

Senior Technical Coach / Assistant Technical Director Salient Touch Futbol Academy Carrollton, TX Job Details Part-time $30 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Program design Working with athletes Sports team experience Soccer coaching Mentoring Full Job Description Salient Touch Futbol Academy | DFW, Texas Salient Touch Futbol Academy is looking for an experienced, high-level soccer coach to join our technical team in a role designed for someone ready to do more than simply run sessions. We specialize in individual player development and technical training for competitive youth players ages 6-18. We are looking for a coach who can immediately lead high-level training environments while growing into greater responsibility within Salient's player-development programming. This is an ideal opportunity for a former high-level player or experienced technical coach who wants to build a career in player development and eventually take ownership of programs, curriculum, coach development, and technical standards.
THE ROLE
You will initially be responsible for leading Salient technical-development sessions across areas such as: Technical development and ball mastery 1v1 attacking and defending Striking and finishing Movement and speed of play Game IQ and decision-making Position-specific development But we're looking for more than someone who can execute a session plan. The right coach should be able to read a training environment, recognize what players need, adjust sessions in real time, and create an intensity and standard that players want to return to. As you demonstrate your ability within Salient, there is opportunity to take on greater leadership including: Leading specific training programs or player-development initiatives Contributing to curriculum and session design Mentoring and developing other Salient coaches Evaluating and placing players Helping maintain Salient's technical training standards Supporting new program development Taking ownership of portions of Salient's technical programming
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're especially interested in candidates who have: High-level playing experience — NCAA, NAIA, semi-professional, professional, academy or comparable international experience Meaningful youth coaching experience Strong technical knowledge of individual player development The presence and confidence to command a training environment The ability to coach both developing and advanced/elite players Strong communication skills with players, parents and other coaches A desire to continue developing professionally as a coach The ambition to eventually lead programs and other coaches , rather than only coach assigned sessions Previous technical/skills-development coaching experience is strongly preferred.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
Salient is not a traditional club coaching position. Our focus is on the individual player — developing the technical ability, confidence, decision-making and soccer intelligence that players take back into their club environments. Our coaches work with players across clubs and competitive levels throughout DFW. For the right person, this position offers a pathway beyond hourly coaching into technical leadership within a growing player-development organization.
SCHEDULE & LOCATIONS
Most training currently takes place weekday afternoons and evenings, with additional opportunities through camps, specialty programs and other Salient programming.
Salient operates in:
Denton | Carrollton | North Richland Hills Candidates do not necessarily need to work at all three locations.
THIS ROLE IS PROBABLY FOR YOU
IF... You love the details of player development. You can watch a player for five minutes and start identifying what needs to change. You enjoy designing training rather than simply following someone else's session plan. You naturally raise the intensity and standard of the coaches and players around you. And you're looking for an organization where you can eventually build and lead something , not simply collect another set of coaching hours. If that sounds like you, we'd like to talk.
Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week Application Question(s): What is your personal highest level of playing experience?
