We are a dynamic shop that encompasses a swim school and scuba diving facility. The ideal person would be punctual, well kept, dependable, a self-starter and driven. An independent worker that requires little management is a must. This is an hourly position, work hours as scheduled which includes: beginning and ending class on time and remaining after class to answer student and/or parent questions as needed, and clean up supplies. We require a picture and a CV or resume. You are not required to be a swim instructor; however, you must be willing to become certified. You will be required to wear a one piece red, blue, or black swim suit or swim trunks. As a Swim Instructor, you are responsible for: Providing a high level of service through your personal interactions with customers Working as a team player to ensure each customer receives the best service possible Performing daily department maintenance tasks including keeping the pool & pool area in a clean manner. This position is responsible for the safety of the participant(s) in their class Instructs proper swim techniques and evaluates students participating in swim lessons Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service. All other duties as assigned and appropriate.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate skills in swim lessons instruction Ability to demonstrate skills as required for class content and use teaching aids such as kickboards, diving rings, etc. Ability to work independently and possess energy and enthusiasm. Ability to positively interact with the general public. CPR/First Aid Certification is required, we can certify you if you are not already Excellent communication & interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task people and projects simultaneously Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates PADI Swim School/Starfish Aquatics, Lifeguard certification OR a swim school training program a PLUS! Background or desire to become a swim instructor/lifeguard Clean and well kept In good physical condition Please email this information ASAP.
