DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

Proven experience in coaching, 3-4+ years.

Knowledge:

Comprehensive understanding of defensive schemes, techniques, and game film analysis tools.

Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Strategy and Game Planning:

Create and install the defensive playbook, analyze opponent offenses, and formulate weekly defensive game plans.

Play-Calling and In-Game Adjustments:

Call defensive plays during games and make real-time adjustments to counter the opponent's offensive strategy.

Player Personnel and Mentoring:

Manage, evaluate, and develop all defensive players.

Staff Management:

Oversee defensive assistant coaches (e.g., defensive line, linebackers, secondary coaches).

Practice Management:

Design and lead defensive drills and practices to enhance team execution.

Collaboration:

Work with the Head Coach to align defensive philosophy with the team's overall goals.

TEACHER Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level.

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Specific knowledge of subjects assigned. General knowledge of curriculum and instruction. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior in traditional and virtual classroom environments. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

At least one year of field experience (student teaching) or approved internship. Extra-Curricular Coaching/Sponsoring Interests Football
