Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Private Swim Instructor and help swimmers build confidence and essential water skills. This flexible role allows you to teach one-on-one lessons focused on water safety, technique, and overall comfort in the water. If you enjoy working with children and want a role with flexible hours, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining hands-on experience. We're looking for instructors who are reliable, positive, and ready to create a supportive learning environment for each student. Duties Lead one-on-one swim lessons (30-minute sessions) tailored to each student's age, skill level, and comfort in the water Help swimmers build confidence while improving basic technique, water safety, and overall coordination Keep lessons structured and engaging, while adjusting your approach based on each student's progress Create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning and trying new skills Maintain a safe lesson space at all times and stay attentive during all sessions Communicate with parents as needed regarding student progress and any areas for improvement Qualifications Comfortable in the water and able to demonstrate basic swim skills Enjoys working with children and creating a positive learning environment Reliable, punctual, and professional Strong communication skills Prior swim, teaching, or childcare experience is a plus, but not required Lifeguard or water safety certifications are preferred, but not required (training can be provided) Schedule & Availability Must be available on weekday afternoons starting at 3:45 PM Typical lesson hours are between 3:45 PM•7:30 PM Consistent weekly availability is required throughout the season This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, consistent work while making a positive impact.
