Referee Job Description:
At Flag Star Football , we believe youth sports should be about two things: Get Better. Have Fun. We're looking for energetic, dependable, and passionate Coaches and Referees to help create an exceptional experience for our athletes and families during our Fall Flag Football season. Whether you enjoy teaching the game, officiating it, or both, we'd love to meet you.

Locations:
Washington, DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia Job Type:
Part-Time | Seasonal Program ScheduleWeekend Recreational Leagues Saturdays & Sundays Between 9:00 AM
  • 8:30 PM After-School Programs & Practices (Coaches Only) Monday
  • Friday Approximately 3:00 PM
  • 6:00 PM Schedules and assignments vary by location and availability and will be discussed during the interview process.

Position Responsibilities Coaches Lead youth flag football practices, games, and skill-development activities Teach football fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence Create a fun, safe, and positive learning environment Communicate professionally with parents, players, and fellow staff Assist with field setup, equipment management, and game-day operations Serve as a positive role model for young athletes Referees Officiate youth flag football games according to league rules Ensure games are safe, fair, and enjoyable Make confident, consistent calls while maintaining professionalism Clearly communicate rulings to players, coaches, and families Manage game flow, sportsmanship, and player conduct Assist with field setup, equipment organization, and game-day operations Represent Flag Star Football with professionalism and integrity What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Enthusiastic, energetic, and dependable Professional with excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable working with children and families Organized and able to perform in fast-paced environments Positive, team-oriented, and reliable Passionate about youth development through sports Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation to league locations Ability to pass a background check Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Access to a cell phone, email, and internet Commitment to the full season Preferred Experience playing football Coaching and/or officiating experience Experience working with youth athletes Customer service experience Knowledge of flag football rules CPR/First Aid certification No coaching or officiating experience?
