Starting Pay:

$20/hour Monday - Friday no nights or weekend required! Average work week is 10-15 hours but we are flexible to give you more or less pending on what can work for you. Little Lions Club is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and experienced Youth Soccer Coach to lead fun, engaging soccer classes for children ages 2-5 at schools throughout Hampton / New Port News and the surrounding areas. This is more than teaching soccer. Our coaches help young children build confidence, develop coordination, learn teamwork, and discover the joy of being active—all while creating positive experiences that children, families, and teachers remember. https://littlelionsfitness.com What You'll Do As a Little Lions Club Coach, you will: Lead and facilitate age-appropriate soccer classes for children ages 2-5. Follow our established curriculum and class structure while bringing your own enthusiasm and personality to each session. Teach basic soccer skills through fun, engaging activities designed specifically for young children. Create a positive, encouraging environment where every child feels included and successful. Build strong, professional relationships with school staff and serve as a positive representative of Little Lions Club. Communicate effectively with families, school partners, and company leadership. Address challenges with children calmly, patiently, and constructively. Complete clear and thorough reports for company leadership. Represent the Little Lions Club mission and values both on and off the field. What We're Looking For Our ideal coach is: Passionate about working with children and helping them grow through sports and play. Experienced working with children, preferably in coaching, teaching, childcare, recreation, education, or a similar setting. Energetic, positive, and enthusiastic—even early in the morning! Patient and dependable, with the ability to create structure while keeping classes fun. A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships with schools, families, and teammates. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of each class. Familiar with basic childhood development and the different needs of children ages 2-5. Comfortable being active and working outdoors for several hours at a time. Able to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the day. Professional, reliable, and committed to representing Little Lions Club with pride.

Important:

This Is an Outdoor, Active Position Most of our classes take place outside , and coaches may work outdoors for 3-5 hours per day under varying weather conditions. You should genuinely enjoy being active, being outside, and engaging with young children throughout the day. This isn't a desk job—and that's part of what makes it fun! Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older . Prior experience working with children is required. Flexible availability, primarily Monday-Friday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM with some afternoon possibilities. Availability to work year-round . Reliable personal transportation and a valid driver's license. Ability to travel between school locations; approximately 50% travel may be required. Successful completion of a criminal background check. Negative TB screening. Clean drug test. Ability to work outdoors and remain physically active for extended periods.
