Ensure fields are playable for both practices and games. This will often require communication with the Port and Athletic Director Must complete my247 and all WIAA trainings through FinalForms and SafeSchools through the district prior to the beginning of the sport's season Provide clear and consistent communication to all players, parents, and other coaches when there are schedule changes Provides instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises Assesses students' skills, monitors students during competition and practice Provides determining game strategy Follows established procedures in the event of an injury Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators Supervises and maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security Distributes and collects equipment, supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times Participates in special activities to include parent's night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records Models non discriminatory practices in all activities Must complete SafeSchools training prior to the beginning of the sport's seasonQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Per WIAA - minimum age for head coach is 21 years of age, assistant coach is 19 years of age To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School diploma or GED Previous Coaching experience preferred Reasoning Ability Ability to communicate with high school students, parents, coaches and staffCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules. Ability to speak effectively to administration, staff, students and parents.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
