Job Description

Cedar Grove-Belgium High School is looking for a Head Girls Wrestling Coach to lead our Girls Wrestling program. CG-B competes in the Big East Conference.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous wrestling coaching experience at the high school level is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills are a necessity.
  • Looking for an individual who has the ability to lead, motivate, and build positive relationships with a group of young women.
  • A commitment to helping develop and grow the Girls Wrestling program at Cedar Grove-Belgium.
RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS
  • Build and then oversee the Cedar Grove-Belgium High School Girls Wrestling program; educate and supervise coaching staff; establish practice schedules; and assist the Athletic Director with season scheduling.
  • Supervise student-athletes at competitions and practices; establish attendance and discipline expectations in accordance with district policies; and assist in planning and developing the Girls Wrestling budget.
  • Demonstrate the discipline, professionalism, and integrity necessary to hold themselves, assistant coaches, and student-athletes to high behavioral, academic, and performance expectations.
  • Attend pertinent Athletic Department, Big East Conference, and WIAA meetings.
  • Work cooperatively with student-athletes, families, teachers, coaches, and administration to help each student-athlete maximize her academic and athletic potential.
  • Promote and grow Girls Wrestling within Cedar Grove-Belgium High School and the surrounding community.
  • Oversee communication with the community, media, parents/guardians, and student-athletes.
  • Meet all WIAA and Cedar Grove-Belgium Area School District coaching requirements, including applicable coaching certifications and First Aid/CPR requirements.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Years of Experience:
Coaching experience at the high school level preferred. We are looking for a coach who is excited about the opportunity to build, grow, and establish a strong Girls Wrestling program at Cedar Grove-Belgium while creating a positive experience for our student-athletes both on and off the mat.

$4,000.00 - $4,500.00 per year
