Job Description

The applicant must have the ability to work cooperatively with administrators, teachers, parents, student-athletes, coaches, and the community. The candidate must have a strong desire to increase overall competitiveness, develop character in athletes, and motivate students to perform at or above their potential. Willingness to help collaborate with the youth program at the elementary school/middle school level is preferred.
  • Current certification or willing to be certified in First Aid / AED / CPR.
  • Knowledge of WIAA eligibility standards.
  • Completion of the WIAA Rules Exam in your sport.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee all high school levels of boys basketball
  • Educate and supervise coaching staff
  • Set practice schedule
  • Assist AD in season scheduling
  • Supervise athletes at competitions and practices
  • Set attendance and discipline policies in accordance with district policies and the code of conduct.
  • Have high expectations and hold staff and student-athletes accountable to these expectations
  • Develop and lead off-season/summer training and league play.
  • Attend pertinent athletic department, conference, and WIAA meetings
  • Develops game plans through scouting opponents and applies them in practice.
