GymSport Gymnastics is looking for an experienced, dependable coach to join our team in a dual role as an Experienced Team Coach + Events Coordinator . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching competitive gymnastics but also wants to take on a larger role within a growing gym. The coaching portion of the position will focus primarily on our USAG Women's Development Program Levels 4-6, while the events portion will be responsible for organizing and helping grow GymSport's camps, open gyms, birthday parties, clinics, and other special programming. We're looking for someone who is confident on the floor, organized off the floor, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from planning through execution. Coaching Responsibilities Coach Levels 4-6 during scheduled team practices, primarily Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 4:00-7:00 PM Develop skills, routines, strength, flexibility, and meet readiness Provide safe, effective progressions and hands-on spotting Collaborate with the Team Director and other coaches Communicate professionally with athletes, families, and staff Attend assigned competitions during meet season Maintain a structured, encouraging, and safe practice environment Events Coordinator Responsibilities Organize and coordinate GymSport events including birthday parties, open gyms, camps, clinics, Parents' Night Out, school-break programming, and other special events Maintain an events calendar and help identify opportunities for new programming Coordinate registrations, staffing, supplies, schedules, and event logistics Communicate event details clearly with staff and families Help ensure events are adequately staffed and prepared before each event Track participation and basic event results so we can evaluate what is working and continue growing the program Work with GymSport leadership on new event ideas and ways to increase participation and revenue Preferred Qualifications Previous experience coaching competitive gymnastics Strong understanding of USAG Development Program requirements Ability to safely spot skills appropriate for Levels 4-6 and slightly above Dependable, organized, and comfortable managing a group independently Strong communication and follow-through Comfortable planning, coordinating, and taking ownership of projects Positive coaching style with clear expectations and strong boundaries Current or willingness to complete required USAG memberships, certifications, background screening, and SafeSport training Schedule This position is expected to average approximately 30-40 hours per week, depending on coaching availability, event programming, and season. Team practices are primarily Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons and evenings. Administrative/event planning hours may be completed outside of practice times. Some weekend availability is required for competitions and events but can arrange for no meet travel. Compensation $18-$22 per hour , based on coaching experience, gymnastics knowledge, event coordination experience, and overall availability. There is opportunity for the role to grow in hours, responsibility, and compensation as GymSport's events program expands. Approved travel expenses for assigned competitions are covered according to GymSport's coaching travel policy.
