Job Description Overview The School of Nursing at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) invites applications from qualified candidates for the Assistant/Associate Professor or Assistant Clinical/Associate Clinical Professor position.

  • Transcript(s) This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position teaching in the Undergraduate Nursing Program and the Graduate Nursing Program.
Teaching may be face-to-face and/or online depending on course requirements. Faculty engage in teaching, research, and service according to requirements based on rank. This is not a remote position. While this position is open until filled, Auburn University at Montgomery reserves the right to stop accepting applications once interviewing has begun. Responsibilities This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position teaching in the Undergraduate Nursing Program and the Graduate Nursing Program. Teaching may be face-to-face and/or online depending on course requirements. Faculty engage in teaching, research, and service according to requirements based on rank. This is not a remote position. The successful candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Knowledge and insights gained from the exploration of his/her area of specialization.
  • Ability to communicate to professional peers.
  • Ability to perform successfully the professional duties assigned.
  • Ability to engage in scholarship and research.
  • Ability to demonstrate academic growth.
Candidates for this faculty position with expertise in Advanced Nursing Practice and Adult Health Nursing are encouraged to apply. Expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Executive Nurse Administrator or Nurse Educator are invited to apply. Acute care or critical care expertise is preferred.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in nursing at the time employment begins.
  • Must have current clinical skills.
  • Candidates must hold an unencumbered Multistate License or Alabama RN license.
  • Nurse Practitioner applicants must hold current certification in one's role and population area of focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant Doctorate degree (e.
g. Ph.D., Ed.

D., DNP) or doctorate degree conferred by date of hire.
  • Teaching experience in a baccalaureate/graduate nursing program and certified in clinical specialty.
