Position description The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UC Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for a dual fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with a strong research background who is passionate about advancing patient care, driving discovery and training the next generation at UC Davis Health. The position will serve in the Clinical X series at the Assistant Professor rank. The UC Davis Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is the premier surgical service provider in the greater Sacramento region and beyond and is based on the UC Davis Health campus in Sacramento, California. Sacramento is an easily accessible, family-oriented city in close proximity to the San Francisco Bay area, Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the California coast, and Napa Valley.
REQUIREMENTS
This position will provide inpatient and outpatient care at UC Davis Health. This position includes expectations in research productivity, teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as participate in departmental meetings, conferences, hospital and departmental committees. This recruitment is conducted at the Assistant rank. The resulting hire will be at the Assistant rank regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Must possess an M.D. (or equivalent degree) Board eligible/board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery Ph.D. or equivalent substantive research training and experience Demonstrated commitment to and experience in translational research Excellent clinical skills, teamwork, and dedication to academic medicine Additional qualifications (required at time of start) Fellowship trained in oncology and trauma Must be eligible for licensure in the State of California and/or have an active California medical license prior to appointment start date Application Requirements Document requirements Curriculum Vitae - Your most recently updated C.V.
