Position Description Summary:

The Department of Finance at the George Washington University School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance position beginning in Fall 2027. Salary is commensurate with experience and established research record. Candidates in all areas of finance will be considered. We seek candidates with demonstrated potential to conduct high-quality, impactful research and to contribute effectively to the Department's undergraduate and graduate teaching programs. We particularly value candidates whose research incorporates emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, or FinTech, or who can contribute to teaching in these areas.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Applicants are expected to publish in the top finance journals. Teaching responsibilities will include high-quality courses for undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Business.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field completed or expected to be completed by the date of the appointment.

$250,000 - $285,000
