Description:

The Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology, Epilepsy Division at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is a full-time clinical faculty position. The physician must hold a medical degree, an active Florida license, an active DEA certificate, an active BLS certificate, Neurology residency training or equivalent, and board certification/board eligibility.

Responsibilities include:

Evaluate patients with epileptic diagnoses and symptoms in both inpatient and outpatient settings Interpret magnetic resonance imaging studies and other radiological studies for evaluation of our patients. You may be required to rotate with a neuro-radiologist in the radiology department Interpret EEG studies Serve on the EEG reading panel Teach fellows how to read adult EEG studies Design and conduct clinical research and clinical trials and participate as investigator in multi-center clinical trials. Organize and moderate Journal Clubs. Publish articles in peer-reviewed journals. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows one-on-one or in a lecture-hall setting, and assist Neurology Chief Residents with Epilepsy curriculum. Present materials from research at local or national neurology meetings. Participate in divisional, departmental, school, and university committees and initiatives
