Description The Saint Mary's College Department of Chemistry and Physics invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor of Chemistry beginning in August 2027. This position is renewable, subject to satisfactory performance and institutional needs, and is eligible for promotion in the sixth year. We are particularly interested in applicants who demonstrate expertise in teaching allied health majors. Established in 1844, Saint Mary's College was founded and is sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Cross. Teaching, Research, and Service Expectations:

12 contact hour/semester teaching load that includes:

CHEM 118

(General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry) and associated lab sections and laboratory sections of

CHEM 121

(Principles of Chemistry I) as needed. A minimum of five on-campus office hours per week Participation in professional activities, curriculum development, and departmental service is required. Qualifications Master's or Doctorate in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field Dedication to providing an inclusive classroom environment
