Job Summary/Basic Functions The Department of Psychiatry of the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Medicine at New Orleans is seeking an Adult Psychiatry faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track) to work in the New Orleans Area. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in clinical work in an inpatient setting. An interest in providing Collaborative Agreement support for APPs is required. In addition to staffing the inpatient unit with direct patient care, the incumbent will participate in nights and weekend tele call consult to the APPs onsite. This is an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of a new initiative to expand mental health services to the New Orleans community with a newly constructed inpatient psychiatry unit at New Orleans East Hospital.
