Job Description Required Applicant Materials:
Interested candidates should submit the following materials: Curriculum Vitae (CV) Cover Letter describing teaching interests and qualifications Contact information for at least three professional references For further inquiries about this position, please email Dr. Laurie O'Brien at lobrien@tulane.edu Responsibilities Teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Department of River-Coastal Science and Engineering. Develop and deliver high-quality course content using evidence-based instructional practices. Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments. Hold appropriate office hours and be available to support student learning and academic success. Adhere to departmental, school, and university policies and procedures. Collaborate with department faculty and staff as needed to support instructional and academic initiatives. Qualifications Ph.D. in River and Coastal Sciences, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, Oceanography, Hydrology, Geography, or a closely related field. Demonstrated teaching experience at the college or university level, or evidence of strong potential for effective teaching. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
