Position Information Position Title History - Assistant or Associate Professor of 18th/19th Century United States History Classification Title Faculty Full Time (.75-1.0 FTE) Benefits Eligibility Benefits Eligibility Department History Job Description Hope College seeks a tenure-track assistant or associate professor in 18th- and 19th-century United States history, with a focus on African American history. The successful candidate will offer survey courses of United States history to 1877, the history of race and ethnicity in the United States, and upper-level history courses on the Revolutionary and Civil War eras. We encourage candidates to propose additional courses that will contribute to the breadth of our department offerings. Is this a visiting faculty position? No Rank Assistant or Associate Qualifications Ph.D. in hand is preferred, but ABDs with a clear defense date are welcome to apply.
