THE PETER J. TOBIN COLLEGE OF BUSINESS TENURE TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
The Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science of the Tobin College of Business of St. John's University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level starting in Fall 2027. The successful candidate will receive the William L. Munson Endowed Chair in Risk Management, which includes dedicated research funding and an additional stipend. We seek expertise in AI and technology with a focus on shaping our curriculum and training the next generation of students in AI-driven strategy. The Greenberg School offers the following degrees: B.S. in Actuarial Science, B.S. in Risk Management and Insurance (RMI), M.S. in Actuarial Science, M.S. in Enterprise Risk Management, M.S. in Risk Management and Risk Analytics, MBA concentration in RMI, and MBA concentration in ERM. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities include teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, service to the university, and advancing discipline-based research through scholarship. Excellence in teaching and research, as well as a strong commitment to university service, are essential at the Tobin College of Business for tenure and promotion. Candidates should be familiar with AI tools and technology and prepared to integrate this into their teaching and research. This integration is vital for preparing students for an AI-driven future and for advancing the field through innovation. Furthermore, candidates must be familiar with technology-supported learning pedagogy and have successfully taught using modalities such as face-to-face, online, or hybrid. Competencies, Education, Experience A Ph. D. in Risk Management and Insurance or a related field is required for a tenure track position. All specialization areas in risk management and insurance will be considered. Candidates should have expertise in AI applications to insurance and risk management. Preference will be given to candidates who can support the growth of undergraduate and graduate programs.
