Job Description:
The Global Fashion Management Master's Program at the Fashion Institute of Technology seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach Global Marketing Strategy (GF 561). This graduate-level course develops advanced strategic and managerial competencies in global marketing for fashion and lifestyle organizations. This three-credit course meets one evening per week during the 15-week spring semester. The course examines global market opportunities, consumer behavior, customer segmentation, brand positioning, pricing, market entry, and integrated marketing communications. Students analyze how cultural, technological, and economic forces shape marketing strategy across international markets and market tiers, from mass to luxury. Through case studies, market research, and applied projects, students learn to translate data and cultural insight into marketing strategies that integrate traditional, digital, social, and omnichannel tactics. Emphasis is placed on connecting strategic analysis to tactical execution and responsible brand leadership. Responsibilities Teach and facilitate graduate-level instruction in global marketing strategy. Develop and deliver course content covering global market analysis, consumer behavior, segmentation, brand positioning, pricing, market entry, and expansion strategy. Guide students in using market research and data to identify opportunities, define target consumers, and make strategic marketing decisions across diverse international markets. Examine localization, partnerships, direct-to-consumer models, and other approaches to global market entry and growth. Integrate traditional, digital, social, and omnichannel strategy, including budget allocation, performance measurement, ROI analysis, and the responsible use of emerging AI tools. Incorporate current industry case studies and applied projects representing fashion and lifestyle brands across market tiers and geographies, including considerations related to ethics, sustainability, and culture. Foster collaborative learning that strengthens students' strategic thinking, cultural intelligence, and ability to present recommendations to executive audiences. Evaluate student work and provide timely feedback aligned with graduate-level academic standards. Adjunct instructors deliver relevant course material, assess student performance, provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom, and submit grades in a timely manner. Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, Fashion Business, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in global marketing, brand strategy, digital marketing, or a related area. Demonstrated expertise in consumer insights, market segmentation, brand positioning, integrated marketing communications, and global market development. Demonstrated ability to connect current industry practice in fashion, retail, lifestyle, or another consumer-facing sector with graduate-level, case-based instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current or recent senior-level industry experience in global marketing, brand management, digital strategy, or international market development. Experience working with fashion or lifestyle brands across multiple markets or market tiers. Experience using marketing analytics, digital platforms, and emerging AI tools to support strategy and decision-making. Prior teaching experience at the graduate level.
Additional Information:
This is a part-time position, adjunct teaching position beginning in Spring 2027. Review of applications will commence immediately and continue until the position is filled. Compensation The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment. $89.98 per hour based on minimum qualifications. The final rate, step and appointment rank are determined by a candidate's ability to demonstrate that they meet the respective school's additional criteria for hiring "above the first step," in accordance with the CBA Adjunct Salary Schedules (pp 88-89) .
